Is it me or the audio sounding like very low? I can get the carrier on the Ottawa Ontario sdr but barely any audio or a signal.

AFAIK, the low modulation of RHC on 6000 has been that way for months now, at least for the English programming when I checked. I find some of RHC's cultural and music segments interesting, but I rarely even bother checking the broadcast anymore due to the issue.

Arnie passed away last year, and I suspect that had a big impact in RHC technical operations. I am not sure anyone left at RHC cares, or perhaps it could very well be more like there is not enough budget left to care.

months? Try a decade or more!

Signals are either sounding ok but woefully undermodulated  or they sound like audio that was microwaved too long and shoved through a paper towel tube while escaping an alien invasion

RHC is garbage and a waste.

I suspect Radio Rebelde might receive receive the bulk of whatever Cuban SWL BCB technical budget is left available due to the numbers station broadcasts. Still, on the BCB side, even 5025 (right along with its extreme dynamic compression and slammed limiting) occassionally disappears for intermittent periods these days.

I agree on everyone, would be a terrible shame if they decided to leave shortwave as I have been listening to them for years, did get a reply from Arnie confirming my report a while back and said something about goodies and other stuff.

I actually stopped on 6000 for a few minutes tonight.

Pretty much as usual. S9+10 signal with barely-modulated, highly-distorted audio buried under hum along with seemingly harmonics of said hum.

It would be more cost effective for the government to simply turn off the affected transmitter(s).
