Liquid Radio 6850 AM 0120 UTC 16 Oct 2024

SINPO 43343 on an SDR in Texas. I've been listening since around 0120 so I figured that I would note it here.

0135 - Eurythmics
0139 - Bryan Ferry, "Kiss and Tell"
0148 - ID, into Sade?
0151 - Reception is very good now. Revising to SINPO 54444.
0155 - Peter Schilling, "Major Tom"
0200 - Peter Murphy, "Cuts You Up"
0205 - The DJ is doing a continuous 1980s run: Talk Talk, "Life's What You Make It"
0212 - Eight Seconds, Kiss You (When It's Dangerous)
0220 - Modulation seems reasonable to me. I like to see ~20 to 30 dB between the carrier and the sidebands during music programming, so the max level is pretty good. Could it be louder? Yes. I suppose they could use some (more) compression, maybe.

0235 - The Cure, "Close to Me". Signal is starting to fade at the SDR.
0238 - The Human League, "Love Action (I Believe in Love)"
0243 - The Psychedelic Furs, "Love My Way"
0247 - Thompson Twins, "Lay Your Hands On Me"
0250 - The Fixx, "Red Skies"
0255 - Personal message to me. I will send you an email later.

This is what SWL reception reports used to look like back in the day! (Minus the spectrum analyzer plot)

0259 - Low voice modulation (nothing recognizable) and some RF feedback squealing.
0300 - Carrier off.

0154 strong S8 carrier. Audio weak.
All reports given are direct from my station in NYC.
Main toys are a Flex 3000 SDR, Icom 756 Pro II and other assorted odds & ends. They may be older, but work very well for me.
100 ft random wire (all my city lot allows)
