CQUAM or Kahn Stereo?

CQUAM or Kahn Stereo?

Kahn ISB Stereo.  Sort of.  Inspired by.  More of a mid side sort of modulation I'm doing.  The LSB and USB each get mostly left and right channels, but highpassed from like...200Hz or so, in a rather sloppy sort of manner, phase shifted.  Each is modulated on their own, with a carrier that is -45 degrees offset from the main carrier.  Mind you, these two sidebands are DSB-SC.   Anyways.  Then you have the "mid", that is getting the L+R but bandpassed from say...30Hz to 4000Hz or so.  However, this also gets the carrier.  This is where the oontz of the signal comes in!  Ahh yes!  The magic of low level mudlations! 

The end result is that the upper reaches of the sidebands carry the stereo signal and the lower end is mostly mono.  It's not quite what Kahn specified in any of his patents, but I suspect it might be my own idea that I came up with.   I tried the CQUAM thing, I wasn't entirely impressed with the results, there is the chance I was doing it wrong, too!
