Turtlehead Radio 6935 USB 0538z 01/01/2014
« on: January 01, 2014, 0554 UTC »
Had a station weak in the noise playing music. There were at least two id at 0540 and 0545, I missed the first word but it sounded like he said "the voice of the mentally ill.
The email address was ???headradio@gmail
was showing a S3 on my radio that along with the elevated noise floor made it difficuly for me to understand the broadcast.

Possibly Turtlehead Radio?

I received an email from Turtlehead Radio and he says that it was his broadcast.

Just tuned in. Can hear music. About S7 with the noise here. Hard to make out.

0555 Song went off. Heard some noise, and now I hear nothing.
Back on and stronger.

Had a clear Turtlehead Radio ID @ 0520 on 6925USB, and into "She Blinded Me With Science", followed by another ID @ 0524 and off.  S5 signal.
Back on with "Blister In the Sun" @ 0525z - S6
0528 - ID and into "Rough Boy" by ZZ Top - S7 and sounding pretty good.
0533 - ID
0534 - Pork n Beans
Sudden shift to 6930 Khz during the song, followed by another sudden shift to 6935 Khz.
0538 - It's All Been Done - S7
0548 - back on 6925 Khz, I Won't Back Down
0552 - ID
0557 - may have been someone else??.  on 6935 again, playing "The Statue Got Me High" by They Might Be Giants [nice one!]. S7
0607 - Don't Disturb this Groove, S6 and good audio.
0621 - ID
0622 - slewed back down to 6925 Khz

SDR recording catch. Quite weak here, not much above the noise floor.
Heard again around 0625 with an ID.
