SDRplay RSP2/RSPdx  w/SDRuno or SDRconnect SW ; N-S 43M Dipole /  Disclaimer: Shazam/Sound-Hound used to ID many songs.

Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

S7ish signal via the Fork Union, Virginia, SDR; the audio's staying mostly above the noise and QRM from neighboring frequencies despite fading in and out ...

0017 UTC: Tuned in just in time to hear the Radio Appalachia ID, followed by part of a speech in which President Reagan's telling jokes.
0022 UTC: Male-voiced ID again, then "May God Bless America Again" by Loretta Lynn.
0025 UTC: "Will You Miss Me When I'm Gone" by June Carter Cash.
0029 UTC: "Sweetheart, Darlin' of Mine" by Claire Lynch.
0032 UTC: "Pledging My Love" by Emmylou Harris.
0035 UTC: "Blue Kentucky Girl" by Emmylou Harris.
0038 UTC: "Can't You Hear Me Calling" by Alice Gerrard & Hazel Dickens.
0041 UTC: "Long Black Veil" by Alice Gerrard & Hazel Dickens.

Thanks for the music, Radio Appalachia. I wish the band conditions let me hear the great music better!
