EFHW Antenna Confusion
« on: March 22, 2026, 0051 UTC »
I just put together a new EFHW cut to 130' and using a "MyAntennas" 49:1 transformer. My feed point is 12' above ground, my radiating end is 120' above ground. My wire is at around a 60⁰ angle. Nothing in the way of structures or trees near my wire. 14ga copper stranded wire, transformer is fine. Yet, my SWR across 20m through 10m is telling me my antenna is to short. But, my SWR across 30m to 80m is telling me the antenna is to long!  ??? I have no idea what's causing it, everything is mechanically good to go. Any ideas of what to check next?
