CB 27.385MHz CH38 LSB, 0530 UTC, Aurora Propagation.

Getting back from work, I QSO'ed with local CB'ers, where they mentioned the CME we were having. So, before bed, I set a rig to CB CH38 LSB. Sure enough, I heard weak, but very buzzy, grisly, voices in there. All, way below S1 in signal strength. I did not put on the 6M rig, since I didn't believe that the 6M HALO would be enough gain, here in West Virginia, to hear anything. May try tonight. If anyone has Upper HF Beams, you might want to try pointing them due North for this.
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.
