Tybee apparently alerted Boomer to this article, which in turn, he alerted me to this.   https://talkers.com/2025/11/17/talkers-exclusive-why-am-radio-still-matters-and-why-cities-must-step-up-to-save-it/      It's a neat read, and the columnist has his e-mail address in there for a reply, which I did. Enjoy....
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.

Hey Thadood,

Per my previous posts, you know I am on board with AM.

Several very good factory built sets here with coupled passive loop antennas , fresh batteries , etc.

Even my simple single tuned crystal set loudly pulls in our EAS primary, WBZ 1030 Kc , on a short indoor wire - no problem at all.

Their generator is going to have to keep up with ME - I am good to go indefinitely with batteries. :)

I do have the components to set up for outdoor nighttime crystal set Dx for NYC ( etc)-  if needed and conditions allow.

I am ready here !
