Radio Free Mount Airy relay 6925.2 USB
« on: September 29, 2009, 0451 UTC »
9/29/09, 0130-0220 UTC (approx.), 6925.2 USB, relay of Radio Free Mount Airy.

This was a real treat.  Not taking notes, but was audible via a portable in the kitchen while I was cooking.  Several clear Radio Free Mount Airy ID's with mention of an FM frequency, 87 or 87.something. Eclectic mix of jazz and vocal standards, "Hell's Bells" (Betty Boop, I think?  Not AC/DC), "Cotton Eyed Joe" w/ audio interruptions.  Ended with "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott Quintet (thanks to this pirate broadcast I finally learned the title of that familiar tune).

SINPO - 42322, some very strong peaks mixed with lots of fades to inaudible.  Audio seemed good and clear when I could hear it.
(N. Central Texas - Magnavox D2935 portable with just the whip, sitting atop the fridge while I was cooking pot roast)
