A 27 year KNBS mystery solved!
« on: December 22, 2025, 1904 UTC »
JG Tiger found a 27 year mystery. KNBS #31, the final one that was done April 8, 1998, opened with a tune called Yum Yum Tree. For 27 years, I'd thought that to be Frank Zappa, but no! Do a search in the Zappa discography, and nothing comes up. JG Tiger found the artist, an obscure artist called Tom Dark, or Turkey Tom, did Yum Yum Tree.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Xnm1KmNoIQ     It, came from Dr. Demento's Basement Collection, around 1992. So, the song was never officially released anywhere, really. So, how did Phil Muzik, get that? Someone must have sent it to him. By listening to it, can ya see why I'd thought it to be Zappa? Huh... One thing is for sure, it nails the current drug policies in America, right down to a "T". Wow.... So, does anyone else have INFO about this?   https://archive.org/details/knbss-phil-muzik-interview-8-2-1997
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.
