Word on da' CB SSB Street on that 1-1-1-1-1 dude?

Whoa... Listening to the QSO's on CB CH38LSB, word there is that 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 douchebag was 'dealt with'. Apparently, he was tracked to New Mexico. I didn't hear mentioned upon how he was 'dealt with', but I'm not going to miss him anytime too soon. Now, to find that other douchebag that airs hours of that baby crying. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
The best two statements of advice that I've ever gotten are from my brother-in-law in the early 1990's. 1st one, when I bought a used '89 Olds Cutless, my bro-in-law said, "Congratulations!!! You've just bought a deficit!". The other, was on a work environment, " No matter where you go, it's going to be f***'ed -up!". No truer words have been spoken.

Well, that is interesting news I wondered what happened to the 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 repeating echo. He always had a powerful signal here in the PNW. I always referred to him in my logbooks as the 'Echo Guy'. It would be going for hours. At times, his signal was almost like a propagation beacon. it didn't cover the other signals, but usually was dominant on the channel.

There are a few interesting, recurring characters on 27385 LSB. One guy on Ch 38 LSB talks with a drawl, and is always saying over and over again "Hello? Is anybody out there on that CB radio? I can't hear anything? Hello? Is anybody there? I can't hear anything. Is anybody talking on that CB radio? Hello?" And this guy will do this for over an hour sometimes.

As for duty cycles, 2 years ago on 27415 LSB there was a couple guys talking (they sounded Midwestern) and a third guy (who I could barely hear -- I think he might have been in California or somewhere out west) apparently cut in and said the two Midwestern guys were hogging the channel, and this one Midwestern dude got hot real fast, cussing and practically shouting into the mike, and then somebody (possibly the cussing guy) switched on a recording of sirens, and the signal was a full-on S9, and it kept going until the band faded around 3-4 hours later.

Most times the Outband isn't that angry or dramatic.

But I always wondered about the 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 echo transmitter. I never understaood exactly why anyone would do that nearly every day the prop's up. But it's CB radio, after all, so ya never know.....
