Radio Free Euphonia 6950 AM 2126 UTC 29 JAN 2026
« on: January 29, 2026, 2127 UTC »
S3 to S5 signal with fair to good audio heard via the SDR in Cape May County, New Jersey, amid moderate noise levels ...

2126 UTC: "Love Will Tear Us Apart Again" by Joy Division started a couple minutes after the carrier went on.
2130 UTC: Usual male host with Radio Free Euphonia ID into "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)" by Talking Heads.

* * * * *

Tuned back in and found the signal just barely audible via the New Jersey and Maryland SDRs; now tuned in via the Fork Union SDR in Virginia, which has an S7ish signal and fair to good audio amid noise and fading ...

2220 UTC: "Rapture" by Blondie.
2223 UTC: Host mentioning the just-played song, giving the station ID and saying "Shazam!" That was followed by "This is the Day" by The The.
2228 UTC: Host talking about The The a bit, then introduced the next song and gave ID. That was followed by "Dear Prudence" by Siouxie & The Banshees.
2233 UTC: Host talking over the start of the next song, "Lower California" by John McBain, saying he's wrapping up and "until next time."
2236 UTC: Off.

Thanks for the music today!
