Just out of curiosity, I did a search for Unlicensed Stations on Radio Locator, and got a list.   https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?call=&band=&freq=&freq_exact=No&city=&state=&country=&format=&owner_search=starts&owner=&scope=&is_unl=Y&sort=Call&count=100&sr=1&sid=  Now, what's weird is when you look at the ownership of these stations. Alaska Broadcast Communications, Inc.??? Um, who dey??? And, why would they be practically the only ones listed as the 'owner' of these stations? Eh???
The best two statements of advice that I've ever gotten are from my brother-in-law in the early 1990's. 1st one, when I bought a used '89 Olds Cutless, my bro-in-law said, "Congratulations!!! You've just bought a deficit!". The other, was on a work environment, " No matter where you go, it's going to be f***'ed -up!". No truer words have been spoken.

That's pretty interesting. If your interested in the story behind the stations Jennifer of Radio Survivor has been personally visiting those college stations for years now and documenting their history https://www.radiosurvivor.com/ Most of the history she's dug up is exclusive stuff that has never been documented before, going back to the 1940s - real interesting stuff. A lot of my own history research into part 15 - particularly the college stations I never would have found without her on-hands on-location research - I absolutely guarantee much of that info is exclusively available solely from her efforts. It's her digging that revealed that for well over a decade the FCC was actually officially reserving call letters for those part 15 carrier-current stations! That info is nowhere to be found in the FCCs official archives - it's totally absent, but the official FCC documents are available through the archives of the college stations themselves, Jenifer brought them all to light, and is still in the process of adding more - she's also the curriator of the DLARC section of the internet archive that now contains such documentations.

Oh yeah... Been airing Radio Survivor series since Show #1, when they used to bang one out every week. And, Jenifer Waits College Tours are always neat to check out. (I've given her a bucket list of stations to check out as well.) Oh yeah... Don't forget that you can see her interviewed in the movie documentary 35000 Watts. Ah... Now Tubi has it.  https://tubitv.com/movies/100039627/35000-watts-the-story-of-college-radio   Anyway... Part 15-wise, Jenifer has also checked out several Part 15 stations, both AM Carrier-Current, and the ones doing the 100mW finals power and 10ft radiator. Can only hope that she continues.

Oh yeah, she's still hard at it. I never knew about her being interviewed in the 35000 Watts documentary (didn't actually know about the movie either, though I probably heard mention and forgot)
Thanks for posting it, I'll check it out.
