26.960 MHz FM Paging + Data Bursts 1318 UTC 17 Oct 2026
« on: October 17, 2026, 1323 UTC »
26960 kHz FM going absolutely nuts with paging signals, pager bursts, MFSK bursts (basically the same ones heard on 27.195 MHz and 27.255 MHz during U.S. and Latin American band openings).

Various bandwidth signals noted, 4 kHz bandwidth, 4.5 kHz bandwidth and 5 kHz bandwidth seem to be the most common.  POCSAG (or sounds like POCSAG) type signals mixed in with the more familiar telemetry or SCADA type bursts.

Receiver: UK based G8JNJ SDR in the South West UK.

26960 kHz and 26945 kHz so 26.960MHz and 26.945MHz are both 2 watt data link frequencies in Russia.   The bandwidth restrictions (I believe 6 kHz) are similar to the U.S. Part 95 Class C RCRS restrictions.    The Russian regulations are written so it sounds like 26957 kHz to 26963 kHz for 26960 kHz and 26942 kHz to 26948 kHz (I believe).  It makes sense given that 26.950 MHz 26950kHz and 26.955 MHz 26950 kHz are widely used for paging and data link purposes as the fixed service.

U.S. East Coast, various HF/VHF/UHF radios/transceivers/scanners/receivers - land mobile system operator - focus on VHF/UHF and 11m
