6240.6 "99 megahertz the Voice of Freedom" heard at 0805 UTC on 18 October with commentary on immigration in UK - is this the new "Voice of Britain" clandestine/pirate?
I was not sure where to log this posting; that's why it is so old.
That station on 6240.5 approx. was heard (but remaining UNID) on 13th and 14th of October, without enough details. ID
Voice of Freedom heard on Sunday 18th by jackroberts (report still posted on this forum) and ukdxer (on his blog).
There are only rumours about a station named
Voice of Britain, no reports AFAIK.
New transmission today 25th of October about 0830 UTC to 0942 END, on 6220 kHz. This time, ID
Voice of Freedom is again from ukdxer.
For what I heard, the station seems to replay the audio of video shows and maybe from other radio stations or streams. So any ID heard along the replays is doubtful, and it's quite uneasy to be sure about the new broadcaster without listening to it all along and in very good conditions.
Well, this forum is not about political or clandestine stations. It's about small pirate and private stations on SW, and anything not too far from this subject is mentionned (even not new, from time to time), at least as an help for readers wondering about what they hear on the SW bands.
So, about the real IDs, wait and see.
