Well, it's come to this: It's midnight and I'm listening to a heavy metal cover version of "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round" on pirate short wave radio on Sternradio. Is life great, or what!?

0204 Way down in the noise yet again. I have not had a good path to Ballsmacker for quite some time. I will have to use a Kiwi out of my area.

0204 UTC... a very noisy S3 into metro DC. Music followed by an ID that was unintelligible. Next track has the feel of another Elton John offering. The likely theme reveals itself.

Newly acquired ICOM 7300 MK2, newer-still Malahit DSP2, and an old workhorse Magnavox (Philips) D2999 that I can't quit. Receive-only with a new outdoor K-480WLA, backed up by an indoor MLA30+.  ... I'll continue to sort the rest as I go -- planning my own external antenna array.
