Hi Guys,
So I have been running a survivalist podcast for some time now and I am looking to do a full series on radios and what they are capable of doing. I have tried reaching out to the licensed hams and got a ton of negitive feedback about trying to teach the trade and not get the licenses. Drives me mental. Anyways...
I am looking for someone that can explain things like im 5 and keep it interesting. I personally dont mind getting technical but I would want to keep it understandable. Subjects covering setup the ultimate survivalist comm shack for listening/transmitting, local communications, long distance communcations (to keep in touch with family), hiding your setup, makeshift antennas, what the radios are capable of doing, Broadcasting an AM or FM channel, etc etc.
The site is RationalSurvivor.com where find other podcasts i have done.
About me: I did 5 years navy as an IT and ran a radioshack but really dont remember a lot of it and besides basic maintence or punching in numbers in the equipment that was there. I didnt do much more than that.
I know this is a lot to ask but I think it would be a fun series to go through and could inspire more people to join the community. I personally am learning ham now by myself through books because all elmers or whatever want to know I am going for a license... frustrating.
