Godd*mn it again...

So for the second time in the last three years we here in the n. w. corner of the n. w. corner are treated to what we normally see starting in October...stormy weather. This one lived up to the local weather prediction hype... 70 mph gust out @ the base. So for the second time power goes out just for a tiny bit then when I go to reprogram my dx-398's clocks: All the personal memories I previously lost several months ago & re- reprogramed disappeared (again) & the default preprogrammed European memories are back (again).               ( fortunately it wasn't a buzz kill!).   8)
(I complained about this on this site a few months ago.) That's it! I'm puttin' batteries back inside to see if that will stall this electronic mishap.

At least you're not bored now.   ;D

Yeah, a couple of my portables default to unAmerican settings when I remove the backup batteries.  Gotta reset the band increments for AM MW.  Easy to do on the Sony ICF-2010, but less intuitive with the Panasonic.

The 398's/909's are prone to that w/o the batteries for backup.

For two radios that are supposed to be the same, I always thought the 398 out-performed the 909's of that era.
