UNID 6925 AM 2246 UTC 26 Nov 2015
« on: November 26, 2015, 2249 UTC »
S6 with some light UTE QRM from 6928 and peskies on the lower side on 6925 are making things tough.

2246: Traffic "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys"
2301: Grand Funk Railroad "Some kind of Wonderful"
2303: open carrier lasting several minutes
2305: back with Paul Simon
2308: John Fogerty "Old Man Down the Road"
2311: Signal picking up, S7-S8 on peaks
2312: Gerry Rafferty "Baker Street"
2316: The Hollies "Long Cool Woman", signal has seemed to plateau again, now hitting S9
2320: Stones "Paint It Black"

I've been seeing a carrier here for a while.
S5 to S6, seems to be improving.
"Low Spark" by Traffic cutting through the noise @ 2251.
Pesc QRM on the LSB.
2256 - Doesn't seem to be improving after all, mostly below the noise now.
Occasional audio at 2308 with what sounds like Kodachrome.
"Old Man Down the Road" @ 2309, sounding much better.
Occasional big fades.
2312 - "Baker Street"
2317 - definitely improving now with "Long Cool Woman" - S5 to S8.
2350 - still in there, but very weak.  I've been occasionally hearing what sounds like Pink Floyd tunes for the last 20 minutes (don't know the titles).
0022 - still there!  "Money" by Pink Floyd.  Another carrier on 6925.1 but able to notch it out.
0030 - "Us and Them" by Pink Floyd.  6925.1 no longer there.  Peaks at S8, but lots of big fades to nothing.
0044 - "Eclipse" by PF, also hearing "Don't Bring Me Down" from another station on frequency.  6925.1 is back.
0045 - possibly off or very big fade, no longer audible or visible on the waterfall

Caught some of this on my DX-394 using a "compromise" antenna, from a quiet location...

S-9 for quite a while.  Strong Pestie interference, which oddly sounded like AM at times.... and a beeper started up later on.

2315- Hollies 'Long Tall Woman'
2319  Stones 'Paint it black'
2324- some talk over music, mention of 'The Grand Canyon'-- sounded like part of Pink Floyd's 'The Final Cut' album which follows.  A number of Pink Floyd songs from 'The Final Cut'

Don't recall the title-- "Maggie, what have you done..."
2327- Pink Floyd 'Your possible pasts'
2331- More Pink Floyd from that album I think.  I was the last pirate I've heard playing anything from 'The Final Cut' many years back.  Nice choice!  Pink Floyd's condemnation of the Falklands War.
"Make us feel tough, and wouldn't Maggie be pleased..."

Around 2331 the station was fading down and the PesTies pretty much took over.  Never heard anything sounding like an ID.  Thanks for the show!

Two carriers at 0100z, 6924.995, and 6925.140, the latter could be Liquid Radio.  And some peskies thrown in to the mix.
0112: The signal picked up to reveal Steely Dan "My Old School".
