Nothing heard on the SDR recording.

Negative.  Using a 40 meter dipole, but it's stretched across the top of my 6' privacy fence in the backyard.  I can't put it up any higher as HOA rules are such I have to keep it out of sight.  I'm going to fire up the amp tonight with 200-300 watts and we'll see what that does.

Be careful - as poet said, complaints are what the FCC acts on.  That type of power shouldn't be necessary to get out assuming you're using a decent antenna.

Point definitely well taken.  I only intend to use as much as I need to get out.  I have a decent antenna, but unfortunately there are no decent mounting spots.  I'll keep at it.

Good luck - post before you test and let's see what happens - I'm not far from Chicago - that's a little better than half way to where some other listeners are so maybe I can give you some feedback.  My qth has been quiet and, well, ya never know......
