VANUATU. 7260, R. Vanuatu, 1127-1210 & 1233-1338 UTC, Sept 4.
Another outstanding day here; certainly one of their best receptions;
continuing with their recently extended schedule, which am happy
to say now seems to be their regular schedule; 1132-1201 non-stop
monologue in vernacular; ID "Radio Vanuatu, Port Vila"; into Pacific
Islands songs.

1308 "local news . . Vanuatu" in vernacular; regional news ("Minister
of Foreign Affairs from New Zealand, Murray McCully," about
improvement of Kiribati’s waste management, water and sanitation,
as well as maritime safety; Prime Minister of Samoa about food
security and local markets; etc.); "sports news" (New Caledonia
beats Papua New Guinea 4-1, etc.); 1318 ends with main news
items again; "Radio Vanuatu" ID; news & sports surprising readable;
into C&W song in English and more music; // 3944.2 (poor). My audio

The trials and tribulations of living in the great northern tundra.....the slightest atmospheric upset messes with reception and this solar storm we've been dealing with on and off for 4 days has made HF/SW unuseable for me!
