R. Nacional Brasilia via the Antarctic Path
« on: September 15, 2016, 0456 UTC »
6180   BRAZIL. R. Nacional Brasília - Brasília. Mainly talk but occasional songs at 2104 to past 2115. Fair reception this morning. This signal is via the Antarctic path and is typical of propagation on this band as we approach the southern hemisphere vernal equinox (on Sept 22). At this time of day, there is just enough daylight and darkness across the South Pole to allow for signals to propagate between Australia and Brazil.
