What are some easy catches that are not relayed through the U.S/Canada

Ive been away from shortwave listening for a few years and i'm now trying to get my 9yo son into it.
Looking for some easy catches in English that aren't relayed through the U.S/Canada. However anything thing you think would be interesting from any country would be greatly appreciated including Utility,Numbers,Marine etc

Equipment is a Nav-Fax 200 Am,USB,LSB
66' Dipole and tuner.

Google "numbers & oddities" - you'll find a website numbersoddities.nl - once there hit the Files tab then schedules - you'll find the schedule for a Cuban numbers station called HM01 - simple to catch - consists of a YL in SS giving groups of 5 numbers (in SS) then a data burst then the next group.  Very consistent & simple to catch almost anywhere.

Not much that isn't relayed these days, in English.   Try Guinea on 9,650 in the late afternoon U.S. eastern
time, and Zanzibar is still with us on 11,735 khz until sign off at 2000 UTC

I love the BBC's Sportsworld Program on the weekends.  They cover sports around the world, I imagine the Olympics soon.  This time of year, English Premier League Soccer gets much live coverage.  They begin programming at 1500utc on Saturdays and 1600utc on Sundays.  Here are their broadcast times and frequencies, aimed at Africa but several make it to North America.

Oh yes, the General Overseas Service (GOS) of All India Radio (AIR) is a very easy catch between 1745-1945 utc on 7550 and 9445.  Albeit, the subcontinent accented English might be an initial hardship for a child but with time it is comprehended.  The music programs are entertaining.  At the beginning of their broadcasts they always give their broadcast times and frequencies.

Nobody has mentioned Radio New Zealand International yet?

Check the schedule here, and check frequently. It hasn't changed in over a month, but RNZI is known to change frequencies on short notice. They're pretty easy to get in the mornings and late afternoon, and well into the night when it's summer but not winter.

Other English language broadcasts targeting America are Radio Habana Cuba, China Radio Int'l (relayed by Cuba, but also audible from China in the morning), Radio Romania International, and Voice of Turkey.  BBC does not, but you can find relays intended for other parts of the world at various times and frequencies throughout the day.

This is the easiest to use website for shortwave schedules. It's not always 100% up to date, but it's a great tool for a newbie, better than most apps or other sites which all are easier to use once you have a bit of SWL experience. The best part about it is the map.

Three more.....Radio Sultanate of Oman on 15140 at 1400, Vatican Radio various times throughout the day, and Radio Kuwait on 15540 at 1800 but I haven't tried it in a while.

Radio Havana Cuba on 6000 khz is English during the Evening, if memory serves.....

CKMX Calgary Canada has a SW relay on 6030 khz that sometimes gets out... They play comedy.

There's another AM station's relay in Toronto on 6070 khz (can't remember the call letters). Some news talker out of Toronto.

On 6160 khz there is a CBC low power relay out of St. John's Newfoundland. I heard it once on a small portable SW radio here in the PNW -- but that was a fluke.  Others have heard it back east, though -- so it does get out.

There used to be another CBC relay on 6160 out of BC Canada but it's basically MIA, and has been for several years. Even if it wasn't MIA, if  you're in the Eastern US, you probably wouldn't hear it, anyway....
