There has recently been a discussion on the Spooks list of the "Yosemite Sam" station that was on the air a few years back. I, for one, had not heard the full details of who was responsible; someone on the list published this link, which gives a fairly complete account of how the station was found:

I knew some of the hams that located that site (it turned out to be a place I interviewed with years ago...Laguna Industries on the Laguna Pueblo west of Albuquerque).

That station was on for many many days before it was DFed and taken off the air. It *was* mysterious.
