KMOX 1120 AM St. Louis MO, big signal in here this morning on the car radio 0900 local (EST),
sounded like a local.  The path would have been all daylight.

KMOX has gotta be the biggest stick in the Midwest. At night, on the 750, it blasts "wall to wall and 10 feet tall!" (remember that?) . I used to drive regularly from Destin FL to Southern Wisconsin and could pickup up Cardinal games just about anywhere along the 1075 mile way.
Primary: R75 W/WV-601 passive loop masted @ 20'  Secondary: Yaesu  FRG 7700 W/MLA-30+ indoors. Tertiary: Grundig  750. Tecsun PL-990X, Tecsun PL-880 . Malahit DSP SDR V3,  . : Also, Qdosen DX-286, 1940 Mantola am/sw tube. CountyComm GP-5/SSB hand held, Tecsun PL-380 ,et al.  QTH: FONTANA, WI  USA.  Sea Level: + 990' .  75 miles (but not far enough) NW of Chicago
