S4 to S6 here, highly variable frequency and overmodulated at times.  Sounds like they are playing live recordings.

So I went back and listened to the SDR recording. In Sync AM mode it was definitely distorted. But in normal AM, it sounds OK. I assume the FMing of the transmitter was causing problems for Sync AM mode.

2132 Sign on with "This is the Crooked Man Calling", into Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" for a few seconds. The OM voice did sound like the original Crooked Man show from several decades ago.
