DGPS to cease in Australia
« on: April 26, 2020, 2259 UTC »
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has advised the 16 DGPS stations around Australia will cease operation on 1 July 2020 as the nature of the signal means that its range is limited and does not cover all of Australia’s coastal waters and the accuracy of GPS now exceeds the accuracy provided by the DGPS service.
