UNID & Dr. Benway 6925 02:32z
« on: April 21, 2012, 0239 UTC »
6925 USB - AM SIO 222-322

Weak to fair signal.

02:32z can just hear music in USB, but no ID yet
02:35z heard "..hello this is Dr. Benway..." in AM (?) briefly & off
02:41z can hear Op from sideband station, but can't make out what's being said
02:52z "...gonna move up the band to free up the frequency..." - sounded like Capt. Ron from RML

Audio (02:31z-02:36z): http://archive.org/download/ShortwaveOddsSodsTransmissions/Unid_pirateDrBenway0231z-0236z04-21-12.mp3

Thanks :)

0333 Huge signal increase; can actually hear the show now...
0336 ...and gone again.  Ain't happening here tonight, I guess.

Thanks Captain Ron!

0251z: Huge signal jump after whatever adjustment he made - sounded like RML op's voice.  Gonna slide up the band.
0254z: Oops, it's Captain Ron.  Noted my log.  Hearing you much better now, on 6930.

Heard Dr Benway around 0235 on the SDR recording. Pretty good signal, actually. S8 or so.
