Agree one song is weak, poor audio, the next is stronger, audio is OK

Recorder Catches

Heard all of the QSOs, music, and SSTV mentioned in other posts in the Dueling Ops segment of tonight's fare; great!  Most at pretty good level, and thanks to all.

Of note to me was the appearance of "Devil's Lullaby" at 0415z; this is really a great tune, and a powerful ear worm.  Happy to have that one rattling around the brain this AM, and a Big Thanks to whoever aired that!

Here's a copy of all the audio captured here in Chicago between 0315 and 0437z.  Dead air has not been edited out.

Overall good signals with some fading - gonna follow JF's lead, not exactly sure who was who other than RML w/ID near the end so I'm including the whole block of time from 03:55z-04:37z in one mp3.

03:55z 'Good Hearted Woman' - Waylon Jennings
04:00z 'A Pirate Turns 40' - Jimmy Buffet
04:03z unknown song
04:10z Cold Play
04:15z 'Devil's Lullaby'
04:17z 'Take The Power Back' - Rage Against The Machine, great tune!
04:18z unknown dance/trance tune
04:22z 'I Ran' - Flock Of Seagulls
04:24z unknown tune played backwards w/comment "...the truth is..."
Audio reversed: http://archive.org/download/ShortwaveOddsSodsTransmissions/Unid_pirate6925Usb0425z-0424z08-12-12_flippedAudio.mp3
04:26z 'Man In The Box' - Alice In Chains
04:28z 'Texas Chainsaw Masacre' (?) chainsaw audio
04:29z 'We Got The Beat' - The GO-GO's
04:33z Licolnshire Poacher
04:35z unknown song, sounds like Primus
04:36z Robot 24 SSTV:

04:37z RML with ID, contact info & off

Interesting!!!

I noticed that jonm posted a QSL for Toynbee Radio in the FRC last night, and that the broadcast date and time were specified as 12 Aug 2012 0320-0330z in AM mode.  This would be during the zoony afterglow following Wolverine Radio signoff, and jon was kind enough to verify that this was indeed the case, and that he dug it out of the pileup.

I checked my recording for this time period and noted that a het does come up around (best as I can determine) 0318:40, but no audio that I could detect; I was recording in USB at the time.

jon also ment that Toynbee said that this was one of 3 transmissions on that date.  If you have audio or SDR files for this date, you might want to give them another look-see as there might be a great catch in there.  I checked other files for that date but nada.

Thanks jon!
