Has anyone else noticed the problems with the All India Radio External Service? I often tune to them with the Vadodra India KiwiSDR or other KiwiSDR’s and always notice problems. All frequencies are distorted, broadcasts are off frequency, songs are frequently cut short or started part way through, and sign on and sign off times are seemingly completely random. Sometimes they fix the distortion but usually not for long. The transmitter on 11560 kHz produces spurs close to to the intended frequency. I have not found anything online about this other than this website https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/i-b-ministry-and-mea-at-odds-over-all-india-radio-external-service/story-k8CDvm9gmYSJ4gDzuYrHiK_amp.html which mentions that the transmitters are due to be replaced. AIR can be heard in North America with a weak signal but I still need to try and see if I can get it from my QTH. I am currently setting up a new antenna that performs better than my previous ones so I will see how it goes. I want to know if anyone else has noticed this or has any other information about it. It confuses me that this has been going on for a while and no one seems to have noticed.

0432 UTC-Of course, as soon as I write this I hear non distorted music on 9950 kHz for the first time  ???
0434 UTC-9950 kHz went off mid song. 11560 kHz was on earlier but also disappeared while I wasn’t listening.
0435 UTC-11560 kHz is back on. Audio not distorted but usual transmitter spurs present.
0440 UTC-9950 kHz back on at frequency check.
0500 UTC-Slightly distorted signal on 15185 kHz with lots of splatter

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using a Hermes Lite 2 with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet.

I wouldnt say its bad per se, they just arent even remotely targetting your area

I can hear their 15050 mandarin service quite well most days because of my direction from their target... but it often sounds awful
