Heard on my Sony ICF-2010 with the internal antenna. I believe this is my first logging of Saskatchewan on mediumwave (I haven’t done a lot of MW DX in the past). Programming was mostly music with occasional identification as “Classic Hits”.

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using a Hermes Lite 2 with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet.

10kw day and night which makes it a powerhouse on 1330 but most of the signal goes north
(maybe to protect all the US regionals on the channel) so good catch from BC on the loopstick.
For another SK, give CBK AM 540 in Regina a try, and then go for MB with CBW AM 990 Winnipeg...
both 50kw.

Sadly nothing on either frequency. I did manage to finally identify something on the graveyard frequencies though :D I heard KTEL on 1490 from Washington and a “Bounce Radio” on 1400. Bounce Radio is a nationally syndicated network of stations so there may be a few stations on 1400 with that branding but I suspect it was CIOR from Princeton, British Columbia.

CJYM 1330 is a regular here in the PNW US. CBK 540 is a regular, too, that is -- when the conditions are good.

CBK used to come in every morning, almost all year, when sunspots were up. I used to tune into them where I worked, using my GESRIII.

Then they disappeared for several years -- bad MW conditions after 2016 or so.

The last year or so they've returned to being more-or-less a regular, at least in my section of WA state.

So, keep tuning into 540. If you're in BC, CBK should make an appearance sooner or later
An AM radio Boombox DXer.
+ GE SRIII, PR-D5 & TRF on MW.
The usual Realistic culprits on SW (and a Panasonic).
