Good catch, IMHO, WSOL is the only likely candidate on that freq at that time.
There is a 50kw Mexican on 1090 but that station is in Baja and sends its power out to warm up the Pacific.  ;)

Nice to see Canada still has a SW presence.

Nice work, that station is a tough one to log here.
Managed to catch it several years ago during a hurricane (Sandy?)...
my guess is they may have been running full power at night due to the emergency.

... it was not the same after attrition. The pride was gone and junk was lying around all over the place. At the end of the day, it is all about the stock prices and the big executive bonuses.

yup  :(

Interesting frequency 1410... a regional channel with no really dominant station... never know what you may hear on any given night.

That thing has been broken for months... have lost track actually... just turn it off.
Anyway, nice catch from BC, 100 watts made it across the continent.

Has anyone heard 198 DIW Dixon NC lately?  Haven't heard it here in MI all Winter.
Otherwise, more local to me, 278 ADG Adrian MI and 253 DD Columbus OH also
not being heard.  Anybody know if any of these have been decommissioned?

Heard 365 AA 1030Z this morning, in and out and faint but in there mixing with TV.

The Cuban completely covers WLS some mornings.

Hearing SYZ Shelbyville IL and JN Muncie IN,  both on 365, in  here to MI this morning @1007Z... no AA.
AA was last logged in late October according to several sources.  My guess is that AA is currently
not on the air for whatever reason.

Been hearing 363 RNB Millville NJ steady every morning and 365 TV Traverse City in and out most mornings but 365 AA is nowhere to be heard.

IIRC have only logged SYZ one time as it is usually covered by AA and TV (Traverse City MI).
Regarding AA, as you say, no NOTAM and nothing recently in the NFDD.
Have not heard it here recently but band conditions have been poor.
Will be looking for it.

Caught both of these yesterday morning 2 hours before sunrise both with big sigs in here
which surprised me given the otherwise poor band conditions.

OK, pretty sure the mystery is solved...
Had been hearing this in the car with no way to peak or null the signal
to aid in identifying it.  However, this morning had some time to play with
the CCrane 2E and was able to peak the Spanish speaking station in the null of WLS.
This led me to assume the station was Cuban as the sigs peaked in that direction.
The OTA program matched the online Radio Progreso
(they were playing some music this morning so that helped with the ID), so most likely it is AM 890
Chambas Cuba at 200kw power output.
