10 and 11m is wide open between me and So. Cal tonight.  I am monitoring 26.600 and hearing nada.

63
Just park it somewhere in Oakland, California for a night.  That will fix everything.

64
Then there's those of us right of right....

 ;D

Right on, brother!

It is difficult to be sad for Air America.  Their programming sucked and was boring.  You can only 'Bash Bush' so long, then it is old.  Besides, as bad as Bush was, the knucklehead in the office now is worse.

We need a President who is not an egomaniac who really wants to serve the people, then a congress the same.  I don't see that happening anytime soon.  But, seeing that Kennedy seat go to a conservative was SWEET!

I will be here clinging to my guns and religion, thank you very much.

[edit] CANFORCE Canadian Armed Forces
Canada is sending a reconnaissance team to Haiti to assess the needs from the major earthquake as government agencies and private citizens tried Wednesday to reach Canadians known to be in the devastated country. Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said the reconnaissance team will provide guidance for the deployment of Canada's Disaster Assistance Response Team, or DART, a military quick-reaction force for humanitarian aid. A C-17 transport plane and two Griffon-type search-and-rescue helicopters are standing by to help with relief efforts in Haiti following the destructive quake that hit Tuesday afternoon. It's not immediately clear when the aircraft will depart from Canada. "More equipment is to be deployed based on the needs assessment," Cannon said in Ottawa.

Do real spies talk about all the cool spy stuff that they do?

Only with each other.  It's like a sort of therapy.  I would never discuss such matters with a 'civilian', but we talk our heads off when we meet up with someone who was involved with some of the same assignments as each other.  I never got to interact with the people on the other end of the program circuit until I met a few long after my contract was over.

71
I just got home from a meeting tonight with a couple friends, one of whom is also retired CIA tech op.  He and I compared stories about some of our covert ops.  he operated many numbers stations from the programming end while I was involved with the RF end.  We spoke for hours (seemed like a few minutes) and compared what we wer each told and how it all came together to create the spook network on the air.  Tons of fun!

And they don't want someone like you or me on their precious list.  SCREW THEM!

BTW, I'm still not at liberty to divulge a lot of info, but I could still tell them enough to make them drool.  They will never know, will they?

72
I used to be a member of that list.  Those guys speak in code in their posts, and I once innocently asked to know what it was they were reporting.  I got BLASTED on the list and told to leave and go find something else to do with my spare time.  I stuck around anyway, hoping to get some additional info.  Then, I asked (in plain english) what happened to E10 (Lincolnshire Poacher) and was blasted again for something I could not understand.

If you don't know the lingo they use, or you can't keep up, they don't want you.  But how do you learn the lingo if they don't teach you??

I think I had a lot to offer the group too, since I was somewhat involved with the transmitter site of a number station long ago.  Screw them!  I'm taking my info to the grave with me now.

HF Beacons / Re: Hifer a legal good guy caught again
« on: January 13, 2010, 1830 UTC »
This forum most certainly is NOT a waste!  It is valuable.

All this forum needs is some advertising.  The HFBS web page got a nice boost from a little press in a seldom read magazine last year.  Imagine what would happen if this forum were to find some exposure in a magazine with some readers!

One of us could write a short article on PHFers and submit it.  Who here has done any writing?  help!

Those were typos k6frc is accurate...  it dominates the band here in Colorado and
I generally dial down below it to try and catch RIX or SZX...or some other HIFER
since I don't take notes out in the field  I make errors...
I can almost hear k6frc everyday that I hike...the only reason
I mention these legal hifers on this forum which is supposed to be a PHFER
only forum...is to let people know they are out there...most of the people that read these
post never ever say they have ever heard a beacon...
Sometimes I think this entire forum is a waste....

I just copied it.  K6FRC K6FRC  K6FRC is the message I copied.  No slash 'C' and no KC6 here.  Maybe another beacon is on the air on the same freq with a similar call adding the extra 'C's?  Odd.
