Just spinning the VFO tonight and heard a Chinese program that was doing a mail bag type portion of a program and giving listener SINPO reports. Broadcast ENDED at around 0200 UTC

Been listening since 2200UTC with a show, and the station call of WBCQ on 7415Khz AM Mode. Nice and loud with a good sig. They are focusing on Amateur Radio from stories to amateur radio news.

Myself and Keith Perron of PCJ Radio caught Arnie Coro on what amounted to a disorganized, paranoid, and low quality rant about Glen Hauser and his World Of Radio.
Arnie accused Glen of attacking him and Radio Havana Cuba (RHC).

You can hear the MP3 commentary on the front page of PCJ Media/PCJ Radio, or you can go to the direct link I am providing, and you can also see the written piece while enjoying the audio from this evening at Shortwave America. We feel that Glen is an innocent bystander who got a pot shot taken at him by Arnie without any evidence whatsoever and that Glen deserves an apology immediately as well as anyone associated with Glen's WOR. Radio Havana Cuba should consider disciplining Arnie, as this show was aired more than four time tonight during a running loop that RHC has playing even as I type. It's been playing since 9PM Chicago time.

Shame on you Arnie!

Thanks to all of you for the great replies! These sites you linked to were very helpful! What I'm going to try to do is compile as accurate a list as I can of pirate frequencies, stations, contact information and QSL's as I can and throw it up on the Official Shortwave America site. It will make a great resource for SWL's and other interested radio lovers like us.

I'm wanting to do the same for shortwave broadcast stations, etc.

it is 1951UTC and here in Chicago, on 15365, I'm hearing a French station at 20 over S9 and the RFI (Radio France Internationale) schedule doesn't seem to match this and nothing over at hf.org/swbc either for this time slot. Anyone know what station this is? They really have a nice programme running, great music too!

According to my clock, it's 1927UTC. I'm looking for the best range, or most well known range of pirate frequencies for daytime listening. I saw one listing here for 15Mhz I think. So, say from 1500UTC until the grey line passes about 2300UTC during the fall/winter seasons. Once it's time to switch to the evening freqs, 6925Khz is a dead giveaway. Thanks for any commonly known freq listings for daytime usage!

I know many hams with this radio, and it is great for all levels of amateur, from Tech to Extra! Very easy to use, offers simultaneous listening on band "A" and "B". The radio will silence whatever band you are not TX'ing on while you TX on the other band.

This radio offers wide-band reception with AM, FM, SSB, and CW modes. Comes with a great Lith Ion battery, long life, holds a charge nicely. I've used a close friend's 6A and was really wowed by it and wish I would have chosen it as my first and only HT instead of the Yaesu rigs I bought. Remember though, this rig is only meant to withstand light rain and light exposure to moisture.

It's compact, not a brick. Easy carrying, offers a light that will let you know when charging is done. BTW, this radio is friendly enough that most of the hams I know who use it are blind, and they love it.

The rubber duck it comes with is nice, no problems with it that I've personally seen, but performs even better with a diamond tri-band HT antenna. Go to Youtube and type in "Kenwood THF-6A" to see real life non-hype demos.

This whole story stinks of the common practices by government intelligence agencies: Mainly the two-fer situation in which the agency cooperates with the informant while also leaving the informant holding the bag in the end so the agency can come out smelling like roses. Typical of the whole "don't ever trust anyone" mentality!
