I monitored this signal last night and got a weak, but readable copy of it.

Glad you could hear DW on the KFS SDR. BTW I saw your Twitter posts and this new beacon is unrelated to Stephen McGreevy’s “inyo whooper”. He has written some long posts here and said he is quitting beacons altogether. His beacons never had CW id’s and his whooper has been off the air for quite a while.

Try 4095.66 in CW mode and you can manually narrow the bandwidth with the mouse cursor
Back on topic.....
The DW Whooper seems to have come up a bit in signal strength and is now sending 21 "whoops" between the Morse IDs
Narrowband marker? going "bippidy bippidy bippidy bippidy" nonstop for days (weeks?) with carrier center at 18.1025 MHz (listed as a W1AW frequency, but this signal doesn't sound like it's carrying data). Audio sample (USB mode tuned to about 18.102 MHz) at https://www.lutins.org/temp/181025.mp3. Thanks for any help ID'ing & 73 de KC2KLC.
EDIT: Corrected the URL; had ".NET" instead of ".ORG" by accident
Very, very eerie & cool when they get going!
Thanx for the comments! I will try to make a better description of the transmitter/arduino package and how to build it. The code is available in .txt format on the link below
I thought i would share a small side-project, sending Hellschreiber from a small HF-beacon using a arduino.
You're going to need a time machine as well, unfortunately. RTTY news and weather is pretty much gone now. There's still NAVTEX weather, and you may find some left on the ham bands. I am not sure if anything else is left?
Crowell recorded (sang on) a couple of songs that can only be described as racist which became part of the jamming. There were racist comments made. He had some sort of run-in with Moody Law, WQ6I, of WARFA some years ago that seemed to escalate, but I don't know the specifics of it. Also with the late Art Bell, W6OBB, who was a member of WARFA.
I'm down with brotherhood, but it's a sad fact that there's no shortage of people who aren't.
Peace, brothers! Promotion of brotherhood, which is WARFA's stated goal, became the worst troll bait ever, it seems.
