A three-day progression, which gets the schedule exactly where it would have been without the repetition of the past two days. Interestingly, HM01 seemed to have timing issues with its schedule as most of my recordings were blank for their frequencies, with the exception of 10860 coming on at 0547 UTC, and 13435 being on briefly around 0730 UTC. But I copied the files, so I have to assume that 11635 did come on sometime around or after 0900 UTC, because the last recording I make is that frequency for the 0800 UTC hour, and my SDR just stays on that frequency until I rise and come into the shack. I only heard the number sets being read on the 10860 recording, but no file transmissions.

First real clean decode I've managed of this digital numbers station in forever. All three transmissions from this hour (15872 USB at 1800z and 13872 USB at 1840z) were quite strong into Denver, and I'd even have said that the first one was SIO 555. However it was the middle one which the latest build of Rivet translated without any obvious errors.

Today, HM01 was copied on the new schedule that first emerged several months ago:

Hi MDK2.

P5O is known as the Indonesian Navy from its communications center in Surabaya. You caught them on 9162,0 kHz as CF or with an offset? But despite that it is a new frequency to me. I have it listed on (all kHz CF) 6365,0 / 9845,0 and 12235,0 kHz.

A partner station is 7CB from commcen Belawan, operating on 9945,0 / 12235,0 and 18980,0 kHz (CF).

Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps a lot. Thank you. There was no offset, it was 9162.0.

This is a one-day progression from the 18th (two days ago) so perhaps HM01 really didn't transmit at all on the 19th.

Other / Morse station at 9162 kHz, seems to be ID'ing at P5O
« on: May 19, 2024, 1154 UTC »
Copying since 1145 UTC today (19 MAY 2024) and it's still going on as I type. Supposedly this call would be North Korean, so it's already doubtful. It sounds automated. My morse skills are still rough so I can't really say what's being sent, except that "VVV VVV VVV P5O P5O P5O" is repeated frequently.

Nothing copied.

This seems to confirm that HM01 has returned to using different frequencies for M-W-F-Su (or at least W, F, and Su - will need to see what happens tomorrow on Monday the 20th). I was up for the 0500 UTC hour and scanned other known HM01 frequencies (particularly 11462, which was one of the two frequencies used for this timeslot) but there was nothing.

Been tuned in since the end of Wolverine via the W3HFU kiwi SDR, enjoying the Beatles program. "Hey Bulldog" just ended (0215z) followed by WDOG ID and dogs howling.

Absolutely nothing out in CO. Listening via W3HFU kiwi SDR in MD. "New Coat of Paint" Tom Waits as of 0035 UTC

Two-day progression from two days before, so HM01 is operating normally and one can assume that Friday the 17th's number sets all terminated in numerals that are -1 from these.

Nothing copied.

EDIT - it occurs to me that having nothing both this date and the 15th might mean that HM01 returned to a pattern of using different sets of frequencies every other day (except when Sunday and Monday are the same). Since February, they've been using the same frequencies every day of the week for four hours of 0500-0800 UTC, and those frequencies included some that were on the previous M-W-F-Su cycle (0500z @ 10860 and 0600z @ 10345), and some from the Tu-Th-Sa cycle (0700z @ 13435, 0800z @ 11635). So.... are they going back to a schedule like before? Is that why I didn't copy anything? I may have to make broader band recordings to see. Any independent reports are welcome on this thread.

This shows a three-day progression from the 14th (two days ago), so either yesterday or today was a two-day progression from the previous one, and the other was "normal."

Nothing came through on the recordings, not even a trace of carrier. Seems like they weren't on the air since the K index was low and these hours were entirely under night propagation conditions.
