Two transmissions caught via recorder.
The first appears to be the message from NEMO as translated by Frank5000 a couple of days ago. This went from 2337 - 2341 UTC.
The second appears to say "Obama 2012" repeated 3 times between 2349 - 2350 UTC.
Both in at fair level.

Other / Any ideas what this could have been?

I had the rx capturing on 6925 USB while I was doing other stuff, when I heard a couple of tones in the passband. Looked up to see an brilliant AM carrier on 6970 with very wide (lower at least) sidebands. I estimate from the color palette that this was at least -50dBm, and add another 10dB as I was not tuned to 6970. It seemed to be there only 5 to 10 seconds. I did not react fast enough to cap a screen while the signal was still up in the FFT, but the waterfall had not refreshed yet.

Opened with Smithereens - "A Girl Like You" at very good level and nice audio. Bluesy song by YL; poss Bonnie Raitt or someone similar? Followed by several rockers with a steadily declining signal here amid some deep choppy fades.
0155 Hard to hear the music...right at the floor.
0202 Music popping up to good level from time to time; sounds great when it's peaking. No ID heard.
