Georgetown GTN. It's in DC, so not very far away. It completely blocks 323 kHz, I am not sure if I have ever logged anything there. I just have to hope it suffers some sort of a failure, and they don't have the budget to repair it.

The thing is, I thought I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that NDB repair is not exactly high on the list of things they do these days. If one breaks odds are not all that high its coming back. Maybe I've remembered it incorrectly, and hope so, but ... I don't think so.

Portugal? Did I get Portugal? Only one decode, so not enough. But its on a split frequency and time is reasonable. I'd have a drink of Port to celebrate the potential of it, but I'm fresh out. I need to fix that in case I have reasonable data to think I got Portugal. I'll not strike it out, but, also won't chalk it up as valid. Pity.

Serbia, I'd love to get Serbia, but the time isn't right.

There was something like this a while back... was someone screwing around and definitely not the USAF. But that was around 6925, not way up on 6988.

Next time you hear this on 6988, check the other HFGCS freqs to see if its parallel with them (4724, 6739, 8992, 11175, 13200, 15016).

Could be related, unrelated, or who knows what.
