I wanna be your dog coming in strong to Haddon Heights, NJ on my Tecsun 880.

SIO 333

Thanks for the show!

Hearing them on 6950.02 USB on my Tecsun 880. Good signal, with what sounds like a cover of Sex and Candy

I think the only reason this happened was because the guy was a moron and ignored the NUOU. I'll be wary of my actions, but the FCC still only has as much money as congress will give them. Stick to getting apple to give us our FM radio, FCC.

That's why I haven't heard them in a while. Hope they get back on soon for fall skywave to take affect.

I'd say a ham having some good fun on the band, but knowing how most hams are about pirates, it'd be a stretch.

Dead nothing here in Haddon Heights, NJ. Nothing on the SDR, Tecsun, or Kenwood TS-430S.

Holy shit! New Zealand on 702 to MI! I never thought that would be possible, but I reckon with the right antenna and radio; anything is! Major congrats kilo!

Thelegacy- I agree 100%! In rural, uncrowded FM bands, 5-15 watts should be allowed, HOWEVER, the FCC would need to get pre-approved FM transmitters so that people aren't buying shitty transmitters that throw spurs and harmonics all over the place. That would allow for some formality and give each broadcaster a good, clean signal to do his thing.

Hearing nothing here in Haddon Heights, NJ

I have been feverishly adding my airchecks of various MW /SW stations I have recorded over the year. Some are from online SDRs, and some are recorded with my own receivers.

The biggest reason I record these stations is, I would reckon, fairly obvious. Many of these stations might not be on in ten years, so from a purely historical perspective, these recordings may be the only ones of the stations I have recorded. For instance, I recorded a 45 minute aircheck of WDAS-AM 1480 Smooth Jazz in philly. It is very well the most comprehensive recording of a station (sadly) no one tunes in to. There is a recording I made of a rare brasillian SW station called "Radio Mosoj Chaski".

There is also a large folder of all the known North Korean SWs, both their stations and jammers. I hope you check it out and remember to record the stations in your area as well! Take a day and get a tape recorded or audacity and just record 15 mins of the MW stations in your area. They might not be on in ten years, and you'll very well might regret not having those recordings.

MW Loggings / WQLL 1370 Pattern change?
« on: August 18, 2017, 1620 UTC »
Hearing WQLL 1370 from Baltimore at high noon here in Haddon Heights, NJ. Wouldn't be surprised about this at night, but during the day? Their pattern is (supposed) to be aimed all at Baltimore and nothing even heard 30 miles north east of their blowtorch 50kW signal. I wonder if they are saving cash by using their nighttime pattern and power aimed towards Delaware with (I believe) 20-25kW.

Can anyone get some more info on this for me?

Danke schön

Ended with SSTV transmission but didn't have my decoder out in time!  >:(

Shortwave Broadcast / Radio Romania Intl issues?
« on: August 06, 2017, 0022 UTC »
Was enjoying a beautifully strong and clear signal from RRI on 7375 a few minutes ago on my PL880 and all of a sudden, their TX shut off. Still off as I type this. Issues with electricity to the TX site? They are experiencing a massive heat wave according to their programmes so maybe the TX'ers overheated.

74
Yeah sorry dickweed have heard nothing here.

Heard here on my 880 quiet but understandable.
