Two-day progression from two days before, so HM01 is operating normally and one can assume that Friday the 17th's number sets all terminated in numerals that are -1 from these.

A fair signal on the SDR recording, looks like sign on was shortly after 0200.

Wow. Very cool. Might keep a few AM stations on the air a bit longer -- at least those that could afford such an installation.

Good morning to you all. I picked up Radio Abu Dhabi during an indoor reception where the signal strengh was 6/12 LED with a SINPO of 35433. The operator played several norwegian songs and he talked about the independance day. He said many sentences in norwegian. The operator tried to broadcast on several frequencies as 6280 Khz at 19.48 UTC, then on 6290 KHz and may be without any I.D. on 9300 KHz at 19.03 UTC. Off ! at 20.15 UTC. Good D.X. from B.L.

edit by Ray : that reply was mistakenly added to the late transmission of Abu Dhabi on 6290, around 2230.
I'm trying to make some order from that mess :
1903 on 6300  [ID at 1925, QSY at 1939]
1948 on 6280  [end at 2005]

The station on 6290 ending at 2014 was another station already on the air at 1922

Equipment / Re: WWV receiver for ntpd time source
« Last post by dad98253 on Today at 05:21 »
Would WWVB work as well / better?

Actually, I had my wwvb ("atomic clock") receiver connected to my ntp server back on Red Hat 7 in the early 2000s. I had to tweak the driver of what turned out to be an identical receiver designed to be used with the British equivalent to wwvb (I think it was called MSF). If I recall, it was just 1 or 2 lines of code that needed changing. The code was a bit messy and could have used some cleanup. But, it worked. I don't remember the driver name. You'd have to pull the latest release to see if it was still in there.
Also, the wwvb clock I had was the only model that I could find at the time that had a serial output. I don't know if there is anything available these days with a digital output. You might be able to find a CMMR-6 module (maybe from an old atomic clock?) to roll your own. But, programming a commercially available SDR might be easier.
-----------
update:
I just found a wwvb receiver module on e-bay. Model number WVB-0860N-03A. It might make an interesting project!

DGPS / DGPS Non-Logs May 17 2024

I haven't posted in a while as there have been no decodes. While propagation has been tough and thunderstorm season is now starting, even during the sufficient days, there have been no decodes.

I've been decoding every day and nothing comes up. Not even from Panama... but they're off the side of the loop (-30 db down), so I don't blame them too much. I think the Canadians have finally shut off their transmitters, or decreased power.
