Lest someone get the idea that I am a hostile, opinionated, and contentious indivividual seeking to subvert the American Dream (I am somewhat opinionated :)), read for yourself the following news releases from the FCC Daily Digest posted today. Also included is the dissenting opinion of FCC Commissioner Ajit Varadaraj Pai which was also released today. Judge for yourself while keeping in mind that Ajit Pai was appointed by Barack Obama upon the recommendation of Republican Mitch McConnell. Mr. Pai was formerly a lawyer for Verizon Communications. Judge for yourself....

I sincerely believe that anyone who thinks that allowing cable companies and ISP providers to regulate themselves on behalf of the American public are damn fools. I'm not the biggest fan of the FCC but the internet IS A PUBLIC UTILITY by every conceivable definition of the term. There is no plausible argument against the fact. This has absolutely nothing to do with "innovators" or "job creators" (typical political spin)....only the hundred plus million consumers who use the internet day in and day out for a myriad of different reasons. Have you already forgotten how the electromagnetic spectrum was chopped up like diced ham for the interests of the cellular industry?  Seriously, anyone who thinks that this is a case of government intrusion needs to rethink their reasons for opposing net neutrality. Yeah, I'd like to look at that mystery plan that hasn't been released to the public also, but I betcha if the FCC gets to implement the plan, they will more than likely not do much regulating of the internet....most likely they will be keeping an eye out for disingenuous cable and ISP providers and their attempts to insure that "investors" fill their pockets at our expense.

This just arrived for my HFU posting of Cupid Radio's broadcast this morning :) Thanks Cupid Radio!!! Now that's a very interesting graphic....must be Alice (the chipmunk) in Wonderland ;D

Fair signal here with a bit of noise and fading at 1406 UTC tune in. OM with Cupid Radio ID's and shoutout to refmo :) , into pop tune. Carrier frequency seems to be about 15029.8ish KHZ
Mostly above the noise here during Bruce Springsteen tune starting at 1410 UTC
1425 UTC Thanks for the shoutout Cupid Radio!

Hey Cupid Radio! I'm going out right now to shovel the 6-8 inches of Mother Nature's bounty greeting us here this morning. I'll leave the recorder running and listen back later. There's a lot of snow on the ground here this winter, so you might want to put a few extra volts into the finals to melt all this! Thanks for the show this Sunday morning :)

10975
With my antique dial up connection, it will take awhile to load that YouTube, so I'll go out and shovel some snow and give it a listen a bit later :)
Hmmm...while in Iann's chat last night enjoying a Stress Radio birthday musical extravaganza for Skipmuckie, it was mentioned that it is someone else's Birthday today. A certain Mr. BA...if this is you, well...Happy Birthday Mr. BA 8) :)

Yes Black Arrow! That was the song I heard. I followed up on this with a google search and I was mistaken, as "The Happy Organ" was by Dave "Baby" Cortez. Hey, I was only 4 years old when the song came out ;) I may have turned 60 yesterday, but I remember back that far better than I remember the early 70's.... ;D

Uhhh, was that the name of the song I heard? ???

Late Update: (drum roll....and the name of the song is)

The fun part of listening to this station of many names is if you are logged into Iann's chat room, he reads the comments and responds to them on air!
