This a a frequency this station added recently. I sometimes listen to them with kiwiSDR radios because here in North America reception is very difficult (I have never heard this station from here). In November (I think, it may have been October) 2021 I noticed this station with low audio and lots of hum (but a strong signal) and then they seem to have left the air. I early January 2022 (they may have been on earlier) I heard them again on their regular frequency of 3325 kHz and on a new frequency of 4750 kHz, both with good audio. Both frequencies carry different language programming. Currently 4750 kHz is in English and 3325 kHz is in German. Also, does anyone know what happened to their 250 kw transmitters? They currently use the 10 Kw Palangkaraya Transmitter for 3325 kHz that was originally used for regional broadcasting, so it seems odd to try to use it for international broadcasting. The 4750 kHz broadcast is of equal strength so I think it is using a similar transmitter and antenna, and is likely from the same site, or at least a nearby one. It is slightly off frequency on 4749.95 kHz, so it is unlikely that it is a new transmitter, more likely another old regional stations transmitter. The 3325 kHz transmitter is right on frequency. Both have a strong signal into the Bandung Indonesia KiwiSDR. Some slight interference from another station (can be heard clearly on another kiwiSDR, the interfering station is voice of Islam in English from Iran) on 4750 kHz.

Peskies / UNID stations 3 MHz-3.2 MHz in Europe
« on: March 08, 2022, 0258 UTC »
I can hear these stations today with Kiwi SDR receivers in Europe. What are they? Just regular Peskies? There are lots of them all clustered in this band. One Kiwi SDR labels this band as “3 MHz aero” but I can’t find anything about this allocation. All the stations are way off frequency with very drifty carriers and poor audio. None of them are in English but they sound very much like CB stations not the type of communications heard on the VHF air band or ham bands. On 3150V kHz I heard one station yelling at another. None of the stations seem to ID. Almost all of them are in AM mode but I heard one in USB

Shortwave Broadcast / Radio Symban 2368.43 2100 UTC 6 MAR 2022
« on: March 06, 2022, 2159 UTC »
Okay signal from the Sydney Australia Kiwi SDR. Playing music (Greek? Shazam could not ID). Clear radio Symban ID. Song abruptly cut off at 2109 UTC and another stated playing. No announcements except on the hour. I think this is a noteworthy repetition because this little known station is the only broadcaster still on the 120 meter band.

I am interested in part 15 broadcasting but I live in Canada. I know that supposedly under BETS-1 or RSS-210 your transmitters need to be certified for use even if they fit the technical requirements. The only certified transmitters I can find are the ones made by decade transmitters and procaster which are ridiculously expensive. I have seen some posts on part15.org that say that RSS-210 isn’t for broadcasting (only for your own reception) but annex B (Devices operating in frequency bands for any application) states "This annex provides the technical requirements for devices operating in various frequency bands for any application." I also know unlicensed hobbyist beacons are legal in Canada and they don’t sell them pre made so they can’t be approved. Personal FM transmitters (like the ones used to transmit audio from a MP3 player to a car radio) are also legal here. So my question is, are there any affordable part 15 equivalents in Canada? Would there be any issues using a transmitter from the US like the talking house? I am interested in all bands HF and below as well as the FM broadcast band (160-190 kHz, 510-1705 kHz, 6780 kHz, 13560 kHz, and 88-108 MHz).

I am interested in building a part 15 shortwave station. I would like to use the transmitter design in this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4UGzL5FCcMM . I have a few questions about it. Is it possible to determine the power output, and how can I calculate how many microvolts/meter at 30 meters is it outputting? What antenna length is need to get 10000 microvolts/meter at 30 meters (the legal limit)? Approximately what is the range you can expect at 10000 microvolts/meter at 30 meters? I am going to use a 13.56 MHz crystal instead of 8 MHz. Correct me if 10000 microvolts/meter at 30 meters is not the correct limit in Canada.
