Excellent signal for North American relay of what was presumably part of Crazy Wave Radio's 1/1/13 show. Given the national anthem at the end, I'm guessing that this was originally aired from 0144-0200 UTC on 6300. I heard some of the show directly, but it was really entertaining to hear Chris & Andy in action. BTW, the email address is shortwave@gmx.de. I'm sure they'll like getting some reports from North America, too.

Thanks much to the relay station!

Much weaker than normal here, but the best sig of the night for me so far. The fireworks SSTV came through pretty clean.
Thanks for the show!

I've been listening to this for a while, but the signal was really poor in S5 noise here for a long time. Starting to get decent here on peaks, but really deep fades. Looked up WICA & WYCA...WICA is in Traverse City, MI (about 100 miles or so from Milwaukee), and WYCA is a Christian station in IL. So, maybe the ID is actually from/for this pirate?

Mostly the signal was weak in noise here, but after Captain Morgan signed off the freq, the levels came up really nice for a little bit. Heard "Junk Food Junkie" by Larry Groce, "Want a Fried Pie," and "7-11" song set to the tune of "Stairway to Heaven." In there was a singing WICA ID. It was a nice & clear spliced-together ID, so it seems pretty certain that this was a pirate ID & not a relay of a licensed station. Also had a nice chunk of an announcement with the announcer IDing the recent tracks & mentioning that this is the "Guy Pagana Show"

Nice to hear this & be able to finally pick some details out!

Thanks for the show & please QSL:

My 1st pirate of 2013 & finally my 1st time to hear WPOD! Fair sig. Thought I heard an ad for Job Rolling Papers at tune in, then heard a clear ID by a computer woman voice, into a song. Also heard Chambers Brothers "Time." Just listening without headphones, I could ID anything else, but I could probably pick out a few more details if I went back over the recording.
Thanks for the show!

Weak here in S5 noise

It was very strong here. BTW, the Vietnam-era Radio First Termer tape has been circulating through the SW pirate scene for at least 30 years. I've heard it relayed a number of times over the past 20 years. Two of the recent stations to have relayed it were Outhouse Radio and WEAK. Definitely an interesting station.

<Later> I had company and just checked out the recording that I made. This was not a relay of Radio First Termer....it was a several-minute-long promo for Radio First Termer Iraq (a later project of his) + techno music + a segment on particle physics (from an English station?) + a CBC webcast segment + the ending of a webcast from Radio Lingua...and then maniacal laughter (as mentioned by ETM71).

I haven't heard any stations that just used a mish-mash of segments from webcasting stations. Huge signal with very little interference.
Thanks for the show!

Nice S6 signal this morning with lots of techno dance music. After about 15 min, male announcer came on with hi to everyone, etc.
Thanks for the show!

I've been listening for 20 min or so, but it very rarely fades up and only for brief periods

This is a regular net, but I haven't seen any logs of it lately, but I thought I'd mention it with the increased activity around the holidays & pirates looking for clear frequencies. All of the ops are clearly audible here

Lots of talk this time, but difficult to copy. Didn't hear any IDs, but an SSTV pic came thru that looks like it says "Radio Ga Ga." Also played part of the song "Radio Ga-Ga"
Thanks for the show!

Back home & going over 6hrs of recordings from 12/23-24. VG/excellent sig here--been enjoying the radio play, which I believe was first aired on CKUT in 2007. Thanks much for the Christmas program!
