He points out that animal sacrifices aren't required by God.  That they weren't instituted at the time of the 10 commandments. Refers to this as "Christianity's biggest hoax ever."  He makes a good point there.
Keep commandments, follow YHWH with heart and soul.

YHWH fades out now and then.
Oh yeah! He just said homosexuality got the death penalty in the olden days and it will again under God's new kingdom. That statement would get some fire in the mainstream media.

The RF Workbench / Re: which type of crystal
« on: March 09, 2014, 2233 UTC »
Oh man, I learned the hard way! It was $19 for that thing shipping included.  Thanks, I'll look for a Butch or Sluggo chunk of crystal.

I realize I didn't mention that when it was working, it ran hot when the transmitter's capacitor wasn't tuned.  Otherwise it wasn't hot. Another thing, after the failure, I found I shouldn't have connected the antenna's ground to the oscillator circuit ground.  :P I wonder if that helped it die.

Regarding the coil winding, I made sure L1  and L2 were wound the same direction. I can't find anything else on how to wind L1 on this diagram. L1 has 21 turns total and its tapped at 7 turns.  My question is if it matters where the 7 turns and 14 turns go. Like should the 7 turns section go toward the top of the diagram or the bottom? Refer to the attachment. I wrote notes in green to aid in my question.

I'm hearing Middle Eastern sounding music.
The next song is not, its more like Russian folk.
The next one is a male singer and it sounds Middle Eastern.

On www.short-wave.info, the map says the transmitter is around Ukraine.

This is enjoyable with my headphones on and the volume down.  It my most interesting catch this morning.

The RF Workbench / which type of crystal
« on: March 09, 2014, 0135 UTC »
There are different kinds of crystals out there.  I have an HC-49 crystal. It got hot 3 times for about a minute each time when it was working. (Like say-"ouch"-out-loud-hot with the fingerometer.)   I'm pretty sure it broke.  I have it in a Michigan Mighty Mite transmitter.  Its metal casing is small compared to RC car crystals.

Does the small case mean its a wimpy crystal type? I wonder if I was misusing it. What kind of crystal should I be looking for to replace it?

I didn't receive the SSTV.
I made an animated .gif out of the top 3 pics. The framerate should be 24fps. Enjoy!

Red Mercury Labs and Turtle Head Radio speaking about:
equipment (how to cut a doublet antenna, its like circumcision)
seafood (unicorn lobsters that squeal when boiled)
San Fernando Valley (the armpit of the world and good dog meat that RML ate at a Chinese restaurant there. )
myteamquinn was discussed and appreciated as a formidable listener

« on: March 01, 2014, 0134 UTC »
Thanks. That's my final decision, I soldered them up last week. I used stereo jacks and soldered the tip (+) and the sleeve (-) .  I used 2 jacks, one for a player and one for a microphone.

Is this the right forum for this?
I happened upon some phonics.
It sounds like it just ended at 1835 utc. "This is H O out."

The voice was too funny, it sounded like a bored American football player.  "Yankee, sigh..., quebec, etc.)
Now I realize it was ITU phonics.  I wish I wrote them down to see if it spelled something.
