Happened to notice a user on my remote SDR-iq (Console v2.3), so I thought I'd give it a listen.

Shortwave Broadcast / 6090kHz What the heck is up w/their audio???
« on: March 20, 2016, 0040 UTC »
Stumbled across a strong signal on 6090kHz, can't seen to tune it in.
Web says it's 'Caribbean Beacon'.

Is it my rig or their bad TXR?

André,  CoolAM Radio...

I made some improvements to the SDR-iq RXR's today. When I added the SDRAnywhere RXR about a week back, unbeknownst to me the Cat5 cable feeding the Asus Netbook running the server had a horrendous birdie on 6925kHz. The Cat5 cables feeding SDR-iq #'s 3,5 (Acer Netbook) and the Asus Netbook now run many turns through a 2.4" toroid. Birdie on 6925, as well as 14.300Mhz and 18.160Mhz and possibly others is now gone!

Enjoy!

PS Just ordered 4 more 2.4" toroids for future growth at my remote listening station:

Not sure WTF is going on?   ???

Sounds like crap on SDR-iq using wire antennas, but on TS-590 w/SteppIR on FM it's crystal clear.
Music matches the website associated w/KLDE 104.9

S-3 in Southeast NH on the SDR
S-9+40dB on TS-590 w/SteppIR

OK, upon further research... it's an STL (Studio to Transmitter Link) Audio from the studio sent via RF to a remote TX site. 25.910 is a common frequency apparently in Texas.
