That was my Thursday 2 AM show. Guess the pirate didn't stick around for the full 17-minute In A Godda Da Vida  :)

That was a rebroadcast from the real WNAP-FM on 27 June at 0500 UTC. Once again I was the DJ. The shoutouts were to "Buzzard Buddies" who support the station financially (we are non-commercial). By the way, if you want to hear me "live" I'm on right now until 1800 UTC. wnapfm.com

Found that show in my archive. It was aired today (June 27) at 0100 EDT (0500 UTC). A poster made reference to the temperature being "off", but all the songs line up with what I played this morning. I am the DJ from 1-6 AM Monday-Friday going by "Your Old Kentucky Buzzard" or "The Bluegrass Buzzard". You can stream us anytime at wnapfm.com

As many of you probably already know, this is an FM broadcast station in the Indianapolis area. The stream is on wnapfm.com, hence is easy to relay by a pirate.

Big signal in central Kentucky

Guess it makes sense it would be Genix. Few pirates transmit that long at one time. Still going at 1853 UTC

Now "Spanish Eyes". I may have gotten the genre wrong :-)

Very weak in central Kentucky. Sounds like rock music.

MW Loggings / Another WHAS maintenance outage
« on: April 15, 2021, 0118 UTC »
840 WHAS's Facebook page says they will go off the air at 11 PM EDT tonight (0300 UTC 15 April) for "several hours" of maintenance. A great chance to DX the frequency, especially for people like me who are only 80 miles from their transmitter.

Definitely not Brother Stair

My YL lives just a few miles from that transmitter site, which is off Kentucky state route 55 south of Eminence. The next time I'm there, will check to see if I hear 1736, plus see if the 1600 is on past bedtime.
