Thanks for the Easter show. Glad I caught the tale end of it!

Weak copy in NH, with SINPO=15221.

0:39- Oldies tune
0:42- OM DJ
0:42- Oldies tune
0:44- OM DJ
0:45- Back to Oldies

Signal is lifting out of the QRN gradually, so I hope to make out the program soon.

Clearer as the broadcast continues.

0:55- OM IDs last song and then station. British accent? Reads multiple listener postings/comments at 0:56. "Really enjoys 60s music." Listeners from NJ, Florida, etc.
0:58- He gives the PO Box 109, Blue Ridge Summit, PA address, then back to oldies music.

I'm getting the old Lincolnshire Poacher interval signal at 1:09, followed by repeated recorded phrases, like the Bangalore Poacher runs. Various OM and YL number station samples/recordings, intermingled with music. Heavy QRN and fading.

Heard Borderhunter here in New Hampshire from 21:34-21:51 sign off. Tough to make out detail with just the portable Uniden CR2021 with built-in whip (SINPO=25222, with long, deep fades into the QRN and then only 15-30 second peaks of clear audio during the upswing). But clearly heard techno music and other tunes, with OM IDing and talking over music for awhile. Mentions summertime at 21:34. At 21:40, he mentions the date, looking for ways to have fun, taking a week off from the show, etc. At 21:43, he mentions how it's already late, actually early, with "thanks for the mention" to Chris Smolinski. Signed off and signal gone at 21:51. My first European in many years, so many thanks!

SINPO=35333 in NH.

1:31- Etta James with "Teach Me Tonight"
1:33- Elvis with "Need Your Love Tonight"
1:35- Oldie tune with YLs singing. "Tonight" in the title, maybe "Tonight's The Night" by The Shirelles?
1:37- The Tokens with "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"
1:40- OM IDs
1:40- Bluesy sounding tune with OM on vocals with YLs as backup
1:43- Bob Dylan with "Tonight I'll be Staying Here with You"
1:46- The mighty CCR with "Hey Tonight"
1:49- OM IDs
1:49- James Taylor with "Don't Let me be Lonely Tonight"
Hmm, I see a theme here!

Cool oldies and classic tunes, and a decent signal with some moderate QRN here up north. Would love a QSL if you're verifying. Thanks!

Weak signal here in NH (with poor antenna for now admittedly). Lots of QRN. 1:14- OM speaking. 1:15 to 16- Lincolnshire Poacher interval signal. Then back to OM speaking at 1:16. Poacher IS again at 1:19, then back to OM with numbers? Overall SINPO=25232, but signal strength seems to be improving. CW at 1:22, then lost or gone. Would love a QSL if you're verifying. Thanks!

QSLs Received / VO Mongolia Relay Service QSL
« on: March 25, 2014, 0100 UTC »
Full data QSL #19 from Yun Sap, emailed directly to my PC doorstep in just about 24 hours, for report of Friday broadcast (3/23 UTC date) and posted on HFU on 3/23. Man those Mongolians remain as efficient as Genghis Khan. Thanks to Comrade Sap!

Apologies for the late posting, but I just joined and had to be approved before becoming active on the site.

Also heard V.O. Mongolia Relay Service yesterday, March 22nd (23rd in UTC time), from 1:23-1:40 UTC on 6949 AM. SINPO=25211 in Northern New England, with improving QRN and decreased fading 1:32-1:38, climbing to SINPO=35322 at that time.

1:23- Music, Asian/Orchestral style with stringed instruments and almost operatic style male vocals.
1:26- YL announcer speaking.
1:27- Music resumes.
[I stepped away from the radio 1:27-1:32]
1:32- Music, of almost old Soviet sounding "triumphant" marshal quality. Orchestral and choral, Both male and female vocals in chorus.
1:34- YL announcer speaking.
1:35- Music, softer orchestral with strings. Possible male vocals in harmony.
1:37- YL announcer speaking.
1:38- Music, but difficult to hear due to increased QRN.
1:39- YL announcer speaking, repeating the same phrase over and over, several times, almost reminiscent of a numbers station.
1:40- Transmission ends.

Nice to hear this one for the first time. If QSLing, would love one to nhradioguy@hotmail.com

73s,
John
