Interesting Jari,

The mystery continues but I feel bad for the Dutch operator of Magic. I also feel a bit duped after thinking his info matched what we were hearing... :'(

Rafman

I think you will find a 'Magic' in many countries so regrettably I don't think the Dutch own exclusivity to the name . As for duped, wouldn't feeling stupid for jumping to the wrong conclusion be a better way of putting it......

It strikes me some of you really need to get out a bit more! You spend hours scanning the bands looking for unlicensed stations. Then when you find one you want to shout all about it and celebrate. Then after all this time searching all you want to do is 'out' the station and shout about what jurisdiction it's breaking the law in. Has it never crossed any of your minds that maybe, just maybe the operators of said unlicensed stations would prefer to keep some air of mystery to the operation? If what your hearing offends your ears so much just because you can't be sure of it's origin or intentions why not just tune away? Is somebody making you listen? If you want to listen to a station that is totally accountable and has everything it does down in black and white may I suggest you listen to licensed radio.  I would love to know how many of you have actually had the balls to set up a station yourselves rather than criticise what you spend so long searching for. Considering the size of the SW broadcast bands you really are complaining about needles in haystacks. Back to the particular station in question, have any of you considered that maybe the current output is just a test? have you considered that the last thing the operators of the station may want while they are still ironing out technical problems is to be bombarded with impatient QSL requests? How about a bit of patience? It's only radio......... nobody has died!!!!! ;D
