Thanks, Chris and Token. I heard similar (including simultaneous activity) in background, but missed announcement--was on 8992.

Have a kid interning at government facility there right now, so between geopolitical situation right now, NOTAMS etc., I am afraid to minimize if I don't hear "exercise," especially with high traffic for several weeks now.

I appreciate the information.

And continuing to pick up during the nights. Mandrill and Acid Rock (?) callwords, and mostly Hippo-03 and -51 callsigns, also Lajes more frequently than usual. Lots going on now both in exercises and operations, domestic and int'l, obviously.

Picking up what might be a drill. Weather and landing conditions being given, have only picked up Bobcat tag so far. Base responding as "McClellan"--how is that? Different from usual EAMs and SkyKings, with considerable traffic too faint for me to pick up.

I'm always impressed with the origins of the technology we take for granted now. My remote sensing professor was an ex-pat Brit who gave us an appreciation for the history (not that I needed it). Thank you for the read.
