The UK has always made it illegal to listen to >>unauthorised<< broadcasts and "to listen to, act upon or convey any information that a user is not authorised to receive."

Isn't it true that listening to pirates is illegal in some countries? It would be interesting to see a list of these kind of restrictions on a country-by-country basis.

...I suppose he would like to make it a crime to listen to pirates as well?

General Radio Discussion / Hello to all

I would just like to say "hello(QRZ)" to everyone on this forum. You do seem to be active. I do a lot of SWL and have modded an FTDX-401 for EC and 11-12. Found a lot of legal users on EC down to 6.425 USB, Senegal approach and routing, short bursts.

I use the "Unit 183" as a call, perhaps I could be directed via PM to like minded experimenters. I am using a 1/2 size G5RV and can stoke up to 40 watts.

I will set up a QSL via this forum, I QSL 100%.

Thanks for reading this

Andrew, Unit 183 QRX and listening.
